It’s the stuff of proofreader nightmares.
Forgetting to change the year to the correct year in the latest edition of a print publication at year’s end. ‘Tis the season for such folly.
As someone who works with print newspapers I do wake in the middle of the night sweating about such a mistake.
The first (?) publication I’ve noticed to mistakenly have 2015 instead of 2016 displayed on its front cover is TechLife Australia‘s January
2015 2016 edition.
Every cloud has a silver lining though. I was able to borrow the latest edition of this monthly read at the local library since most people picking it up beforehand would have believed the magazine was 12 months old.
